Awards
Dear Member,
The time is upon us when we need to look at nominations for the prestigious 2012 Hall of Fame.
As usual a maximum of two people who have made an outstanding contribution to the sport will be rewarded with entry into the Hall of Fame and nominations are now being taken.
IRIBF members are able to nominate people as of Monday the 16th January 2012. Nominations will close at 10:00pm Tuesday the 14th February 2012.
Only IRIBF members are eligible to nominate and be nominated.
If you are going to nominate someone for the Hall of Fame you must be aware that the award will be given to those who the board feel deserve to be inducted into the Rock-It-Ball Hall of Fame for their outstanding services to our sport.
The award is not only open to players and coaches but to those who have made sacrifices for the sport. It can be an administrator, a fan, a fund raiser or anyone that you feel deserves the right to hold a coveted Hall of Fame ring.
A nominee must, as usual, receive 3 nominations in order to proceed to the selection level and it should be noted that just because a candidate receives 3 nominations it does not mean that they will be automatically inducted into the Hall of Fame. It will be down to the HoF Board to decide.
With any nomination a short paragraph on the reasons why you feel the nominee deserves the nomination must be supplied. Failure to supply this will result in the nomination being rejected.
The selection Board will be made up of current HoF inductees and their decision, via anonymous voting, is final.
Remember: when considering a person as a candidate consistency is the key and sporadic activity should not qualify for a nomination. Consistent and outstanding dedication to our sport should and will be rewarded.
To nominate please send an email to craig@iribf.org
