Referee's Education
Anyone who wants to officiate a game should be qualified to do so dependant at what level the match will be at and there will be 5 levels of officials.
Level 1 Umpire
Level 2 Referee
Level 3 Regional Referee
Level 4 National Referee
Level 5 International Referee
To qualify as an Referee or Umpire at local level individuals must first take a written exam to ascertain their knowledge of the rules and then they will be required to show their ability to interpret the rules during a game.
A pass mark of 75% will be required for a person to qualify as a Referee. Any mark below that will result in the candidate being qualified as an Umpire until such time that they pass the written exam by a mark of 75%.
For persons wishing to Officiate at National Level and above they must be qualified to Referee level and the Head of Technical Development will designate which official will act as Referee and who will act as Umpires.
